About Smoking For Jesus Ministry

We are Smoking for Jesus Ministry, and we are on FIRE for the Lord! For nearly 30 years, Pastor Willie L. Monnet, Sr. has been teaching and preaching the uncompromising Word of God, while discipling men and women of all ages and nationalities in the southern region. The ministry was founded on December 30, 1996, and the themed Scripture was derived from Revelation 3:16, "So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth."

As a church, we believe that the Holy Bible is the inspired Word of God and that the pathway to heaven is through holiness and righteousness and only through our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

We are orginally from New Orleans, Lousiana, but after the devastation and aftermath of Hurricanes Katrina and Rita in 2005, the Lord saw fit to lead us to our new home in Burnet, Texas. It was NOT by far the easiest journey from New Orleans to Burnet during our 40-car caravan and over 40-day exodus, but we managed to SURVIVE! And through our new book MOUNT UP! How One Church Survived Hurricanes Katrina and Rita, many will discover not only how God brought us through the storms, but also learn how they too can can survive the natural disasters and storms of life. We welcome everyone to join us as we journey back in time, and share our modern-day deliverance story with the entire WORLD!

About Mount Up!

This is an extraordinary true story!

In a 40-car caravan, one eastern New Orleans, Louisiana pastor of        Smoking for Jesus Ministry made plans to stick together as a               church, while leading nearly 200 of his members on an exodus that       extended over 40 days through the highways and byways of                 Louisiana and Texas to escape the wrath and devastation of                 Hurricanes Katrina & Rita. In this book, you will discover how this         church not only suffered great loss and tragedy, but also how their faith and unity helped them to overcome adversity and survive the greatest natural disaster to ever hit the United States together!
